Undugu Foundation
Year 2019 – 2021

We all experience the ups and downs of life. Our society has conditioned us not to share our issues out of concern that it will be perceived as weakness.

The brothers of Undugu are establishing a new norm for melanated men. Through our safe space conversations, we are empowering brothers to share openly and honestly without being judged.

Our brotherhood connects monthly via our ‘Chop It Series’ on the third Sunday of each month. These are live in-person sessions allowing brothers to connect and share what is going on in their lives.

Quarterly, we connect the brotherhood outside of Metro-Atlanta in our Kickback weekend sessions. In these sessions, we combine yoga, mindfulness, physical fitness, and social activities. Providing brothers with the ability to expand their connections from our Chop It Sessions.

During the Covid-19 quarantine, we have moved our in-person sessions online leveraging video conferencing to remain connected. We have also created a new segment referred to as the “BRIDGE”. This session provides us with an opportunity to connect our brotherhood with other organizations to establish new connections and build new plans.

Join us on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube to participate in our sessions.

BRIDGE

our online connection for empowerment

The BRIDGE is our connection online for empowerment. Each BRIDGE session will be held virtually using video conferencing.

In November we are continuing our conversation on Civic Engagement (Census, Voter Registration, Voter Engagement, Accountability) as we discuss the topic:

“We’ve voted…now what? What should we do outside of elections to create sustainable change?”

Register now to reserve your space and join in the discussion – online.

If you have not voted, go out and vote during the early voting!

Fitness Challenge IV – TwentyTwentyWON
Launching April 2021!

We are building a new community of fitness-focused men. Being active by all means – walking, running, hiking, cycling, skating, skiing, and swimming. In twenty-twenty-WON (2021) we are launching our year-long fitness program and commitment to the physical health of Black and Brown Men.

Kickbacks

Weekend or week long travel adventures for brothers by brothers! Kickbacks are an extension of our Chop It Up Sessions and are held outside throughout the United States and coming soon to international destinations. Enjoy the reconnection with the brothers while completing mountain hikes, lake cruises, yoga and mindfulness activities.

Brotherhood

In all that we do, we strive to build the bond of brotherhood amongst all who participate in Undugu activities. We have removed barriers to entry to provide greater access to become a member of our brotherhood.
